• Has a special interest in veterinary internal medicine
• Certified in teaching dog-bite prevention to children; leads tours at Rivertown for elementary-school children
• Instrumental in the development of Rivertown’s popular Mini Vet School for children
• Adopted her terrier-mix dog, Ozzie, from the Second Chance Animal Rescue
