Fireworks Are Alarming For Many Pets

With the 4^th of July fast approaching we want to offer some suggestions on ways to keep your furry family member content during fireworks and all the activity surrounding the weekend. It is advisable to make a safe haven for your pet to feel secure at home. Do not take pets to a fireworks display. Although your pet may not vocalize their fear it doesn’t mean that they aren’t distressed. Try to stay with them and remain calm as pets are very good at sensing our emotions. Close windows and doors to reduce noise and to make it more difficult for your pet to escape. Make sure your pet has appropriate identification in case it does get out.  We provide microchipping services at Rivertown to ensure your pet is safely returned to you in case it is lost.
